muCommander HDFS (file manager access to HDFS)

Why

I really needed file manager access to HDFS, it's much faster to work with than command line and works very well for browsing and moving around your files/ directories. See for yourself:

Status

This is a (functional) proof of concept. I don't plan to systematically develop this (although it is possible that I will).

Requirements

Java 1.6 (DF.java)
JDK if you need to re-sign JAR files for Webstart or an alternative Hadoop library.

Download

ZIP file with binaries (Hadoop 0.15.0). The file contains an ANT launcher: ant run should run the application locally. PHP file for starting WebStart is also included.
Launch using WebStart (Hadoop 0.15.0).

Please note that you must have an identical version of Hadoop in the lib/ folder that your cluster is run with. Substitute Hadoop's JAR with your own if needed and re-sign the JARs (ant webstart.sign).
