The 3.1.1 release introduces a number of performance improvements and minor bug fixes.
Performance improvements Release 3.1.1 improves the internal cache behaviour (CARROT-571) and lowers the default number of processing threads in the Document Clustering Server (CARROT-581).
Lucene updated to 2.9.1 Release 3.1.1 of Carrot2 comes with the 2.9.1 version of Lucene.
